Einbürgerungstest — Privacy Policy

Effective 20 October 2026

This policy explains what data the Einbürgerungstest Deutschland app (“the app”, “we”) processes, why, and the choices you have. The app is operated by Umar Sesay (Belgium). Questions: hello@aus-labs.com.

1. Your learning data stays on your device

Your answers, progress, streaks, favourites, selected federal state and settings are stored only on your device. We do not run an account system and do not upload your learning data to our servers. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.

2. Advertising (free version)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may process device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address, and information about ad interactions.

  • Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in the app’s privacy settings.
  • On iOS, you are asked for permission under App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, only non-personalised ads are shown.
  • With Pro, no ads are shown.

See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from partner apps.

3. Purchases

The one-time Pro purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt so the app can unlock and restore Pro.

4. Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. You can switch them off in the app or in your device settings.

  • Providing the app and Pro purchases: performance of our contract with you.
  • Personalised advertising: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Non-personalised advertising and keeping the free version available: our legitimate interests.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK or a similar jurisdiction, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to its processing. Because learning data never leaves your device, most requests concern advertising data held by Google — you can manage it via your device’s ad settings and in the app’s privacy settings. For anything else, email hello@aus-labs.com.

You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Belgium that is the Data Protection Authority.

7. Children

The app is intended for adults preparing for the citizenship test and is not directed at children under 16.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
